Solaris Tanning & Beauty Studio (“we”, “us”) runs this website. We keep this short and plain, because there is very little to tell.
What we collect on this website
This website has no contact forms, no booking system, no accounts and no payments. We do not ask you for your name, email address or any other personal detail, and nothing you do here is stored against your identity.
If you choose to accept cookies, we collect anonymous usage statistics through Google Analytics — for example how many people visited, which sections were opened, and whether visitors tapped the phone number or the Message button. Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses, and we cannot identify you from this data.
Like every website, our hosting provider (OVH) keeps routine server logs, which include IP addresses, for security and to keep the site running. We do not use them to identify anyone.
Cookies
- Essential: a single item stored in your browser to remember your cookie choice, so we do not ask again. This is not tracking.
- Analytics (optional): Google Analytics cookies, used only to count and understand visits. These are set only if you press “Accept”. If you press “Decline”, none are set and the site works exactly the same.
- Trustpilot (optional): the same “Accept” loads Trustpilot’s review box, which may set cookies on trustpilot.com. “Decline” keeps it as a plain link.
- Advertising (optional): if we run Google Ads, the same consent allows Google to record that an advert led to a visit, a phone tap or a Message tap. This measures advertising only.
You can change your mind at any time: . Choosing “Decline” also removes any analytics cookies already set.
Fonts and third parties
The fonts on this website are served from the website itself, so your browser does not contact Google or any other company just to display the page. Nothing from Google loads until you press “Accept”.
Trustpilot reviews
Some pages show a “Review us on Trustpilot” box. Until you press “Accept” it is a plain link and nothing is loaded from Trustpilot. If you accept, Trustpilot’s own review box is loaded from Trustpilot, which may set cookies on its own site under the Trustpilot cookie policy. Writing a review happens on Trustpilot’s website, under its own privacy policy.
Messaging us on Facebook
The quickest way to book or ask a question is Facebook Messenger. If you tap “Message us”, you leave this website and use Facebook, which handles your messages under its own privacy policy. We only use what you send us to reply to you.
Who we share data with
Nobody, other than Google as the provider of the analytics and advertising measurement described above and Trustpilot for its review box (both only if you accept), and our hosting provider as described above. We do not sell data and we do not run any other third-party trackers.
Contacting the studio
If you message us, phone us or visit in person, any details you give (for example a name for an appointment or a patch-test record) are used only to provide that service and are kept no longer than needed. We never share them for marketing.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask what information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk). To make a request, email contact@solarisstudio.co.uk, call the studio on 01782 283577 or pop in.
